How to correctly install and maintain the crimping joint?

1、 Installation steps

1. Cleaning the surface: Before installation, thoroughly remove dust, oil stains, or oxide layers from the surface of the pipeline. Metal joints need to be sanded flat with

sandpaper to ensure that the contact surface is clean and free of impurities.

2. Sealing treatment: Use raw tape to wrap the thread clockwise for 2-3 layers, or evenly apply sealant to cover the second and third circles of the thread, achieving a

360 degree seal.

3. Assembly inspection: Select the matching rubber hose connector to ensure that the front end of the sleeve enters the annular groove of the core with moderate tightness.

4. Pressing operation: Install the pressing mold on the pressing machine, place the joint in the mold, press the switch to press to the specified position on the parameter table, and keep the rubber hose naturally bent to avoid twisting at the root.

5. Tighten in place: manually tighten the nut until it cannot be rotated, mark the initial position, and then use a wrench to rotate precisely according to the pipe diameter to avoid deformation caused by excessive tightening.

6. Pressure test: After installation, pressurize the medium to twice the working pressure, hold the pressure for 30-60 seconds, and check for no leakage; If there is a leak, it needs to be slightly tightened or resealed.

2、 Maintenance points

Regular cleaning: Use kerosene to wipe the surface of the joint and soak it to remove dirt, ensuring no visible pollutants. Corrosive steel pipes need to be acid washed for rust removal → water washed → neutralized with alkali solution.

Preventive inspection: Observe whether the marks on the buckle surface are uniform, measure the size with a vernier caliper to ensure it is within the range, and if it is loose, re tap or sew for reinforcement.

Avoid damage: Do not excessively bend the hose when it is moving or stationary to prevent twisting deformation from affecting its lifespan.
